Description
Our electronic handwheel is connected directly to the controller by cable. As the machine movements are therefore carried out directly via the hardware controller (without a PC), there are no delays when positioning the CNC machine.
All actions on the handwheel are transferred 1:1 to the software.
The high-quality membrane keypad of the handwheel has 29 Status LEDs. A metal snap disc inside the keypad confirms each switching operation haptically and acoustically with a clicking sound.
The handwheel has more than 30 buttons and controls. Several standard functions such as. Perform reference run, Start job, Break etc. are permanently assigned and can be used immediately. The lower 12 function keys can be accessed via cncGraF with your own functions and macros.
The housing of the handwheel is sealed all round and is magnetic at the rear for easy attachment to the machine. In addition, the handwheel has a built-in Emergency stop switch.
Functions of the handwheel

- Procedure of all 5 axles via a rotary control (optical encoder). The step resolution is between 0.1 mm and 0.01 mm adjustable (in the cncGraF).
- Standard functionsExecute reference run, move to zero point, move to parking point, spindle on/off, set zero point X/Y/Z, pump on/off, start job, continue job, pause, cancel.
- Further functions and macros can be added to the 12 free function keys can be defined. These 12 additional buttons have slide-in windows that allow individual button and field labelling using text strips.
- The operating speed can be changed during operation.
- A Emergency stop switch is integrated into the front of the housing.
The handwheel is available in two versions:
Encoder variant (speed)
AdvantageThe display in the software always matches the actual setting on the handwheel. Disadvantage: Endlessly rotatable, without stop at 0 % and 100 %
Potentiometer variant (speed)
Advantage: Noticeable stop at 0 % and 100 % (minimum/maximum can be felt). Disadvantage: The display in the software may differ from the setting on the handwheel, as the speed can be changed both in the software and on the handwheel.
