Knife offset compensation and overcut correction for cutting with drag knives
Our Skalp software optimises drawings for cutting film or cardboard using a drag knife on CNC machines.
To ensure that edges are not rounded off and contours are cut through precisely, a path adjustment and offset correction based on the blade used is necessary to achieve accurate cutting results.
The output HPGL data can then be further processed with cncGraF or any HPGL-compatible plotter software and cut using a drag knife (not included!).

- The Scalp© programme enables film cutting with a swivel or drag knife. The cutting path is corrected according to the drag knife radius. A test strip function ensures the correct starting position of the knife.
