What advantages does our electronic handwheel offer you?

Our electronic handwheel is connected directly to the machine's CNC controller via a cable. As the movements of the machine are therefore carried out directly via the hardware controller (without a PC), there are no delays when positioning the CNC machine. All actions on the handwheel are transferred 1:1 to the software.

The high-quality membrane keypad of the handwheel is equipped with 29 status LEDs. A metal snap disc inside the keypad ensures that each switching operation is confirmed both haptically and acoustically by a click.

The handwheel has more than 30 buttons and 2 controls. Numerous standard functions, such as executing a reference run, job start, pause, etc., are predefined and ready for immediate use. The lower 12 function buttons can be individually programmed with your own functions and macros via cncGraF.

The housing of the handwheel is completely sealed and has a magnetic design on the back to allow easy attachment to the machine. The handwheel also has an in-built emergency stop switch.

Handwheel functions

The handwheel enables manual movement of up to 5 axes using an encoder rotary control. The step resolution can be defined via the buttons to 0.1 mm or 0.01 mm (adjustable in cncGraF).

The standard functions of the handwheel include

  • Executing a reference run
  • Approaching the zero point
  • Approaching the car park
  • Setting the zero point for X/Y/Z
  • Switching the spindle and pump on/off (on/off)
  • Starting, resuming, pausing and cancelling jobs

  • The 12 programmable function keys can be assigned additional functions and macros. Thanks to the slide-in windows, these keys can be individually labelled using text strips.
  • The operating speed can be adjusted during operation.
